On Thursday 11th May 2017 30 Cyclists set out from Celtic park, Glasgow to fulfill a lifetime ambition to cycle to the Nacional Stadium in Lisbon, Portual to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions winning the European cup.
Our 14 day cycle will take us from Glasgow down through the UK where we will embark a ferry from Portsmouth to Santander and onwards down through Spain and finally into Portugal where we will head to our final destination of Lisbon.
The SPOKESperson – hear what the cyclists have to say
A few of our cyclists have been recording their Road to Lisbon journeys. They really capture the raw emotion, exhaustion (physically and mentally) and the blood, sweat and tears as well as the elation and jubilation our cyclists are going through on this wonderful but sometimes gruelling challenge they have signed up for.
