Stadium Nacional – Lisbon – 25th May 2017

News update

We are delighted to announce that the owners and management of the “Stadium Nacional” will receive “The Road To Lisbon” Cyclists at their very special stadium on the 25th May 2017

The stadium management team are very excited to receive the Cycling Celts into their stadium and are very very passionate about what the 25th May means to both the people of Lisbon and the worldwide Celtic family. The management team had been an absolute pleasure to deal with and want to make this day very special for as many Celtic fans as possible.

In view of the up and coming National Cup Final which is expected to be held at the stadium on the 28th May 2017, access will be granted and controlled to a 2 hour window between 15:00 and 17:00 hrs local time on the 25th only.  

Recognizing that the Cyclists are making their final preparations for their departure on the 11th May 2017, we wished to share this information with the wider Celtic Family. A formal press announcement will be released by the management team of the stadium.

The Road To Lisbon

On Thursday 11th May 2017 Celtic Fans will set out from Celtic park to fulfill a lifetime ambition to cycle to the Nacional Stadium in Lisbon to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions winning the European cup. Their key objectives are:

  • to make a safe cycle to Lisbon and
  • to make the cycle accessible for as many folk as possible
  • raise tens of thousands for three charities; celtic fc foundation,solving kids cancer and children in crossfire.

We would ask your help to be able to share awareness of our cycle and where possible to make a contribution:
